On the early morning of November 28, all 190 signal test sequences of the Fangchenggang-Dongxing Railway were completed as planned. This marks the completion of the dynamic test of signal equipment and the full-line connection test, laying a solid foundation for the next steps of full-network trial operation, preliminary acceptance, and safety assessment.

To ensure the smooth progress of the full-line connection test for the Fangchenggang-Dongxing Railway, CR-Nanning formulated operation plans based on daily test data, reasonably deployed operating personnel, and actively carried out tasks such as meticulous adjustments to the line, large-scale machine consolidation, track bed sorting, and safety improvement of the trackside environment. Every day, supervisory officials were assigned to provide real-time monitoring of the entire process, ensuring that the equipment facilities such as the track and catenary system achieved a 100% excellent rate.

The Fangchenggang-Dongxing Railway is located at the westernmost end of China’s coastal railway, with a total length of 47 kilometers and a design speed of 200 kilometers per hour. The infrastructure meets conditions for a design speed of 250 kilometers per hour. It is one of the key projects for promoting the high-quality construction of the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor and is crucial for connecting internal and external areas. Moreover, it serves as the first railway for Dongxing City, the only seaport city connected by land and sea between China and Vietnam. The full opening and operation of the railway will put an end to the history of no railway transportation between Fangchenggang and Dongxing. The travel time between the two places will be reduced from the current approximately 60 minutes by road to about 20 minutes by railway.
