The 7504/3 slow train has been in operation for nearly seven decades, connecting cities and villages with its affordable ticket prices, high-quality services, and the “stop at every station” approach. Since the Tianshui-Huating Railway opened in 2017, the 7504/3 train’s operating section has extended from Tianshui to Qinglin Village in Zhangjiachuan Hui Autonomous County, increasing the running distance to 248 kilometers. It has become a “bus” and “train to prosperity” for local villagers, facilitating trips to fairs, selling agricultural products, visiting relatives and friends, and making it convenient for students to travel to school.

　　Over the years, CR-Lanzhou has been actively promoting the quality improvement of public welfare “slow trains,” continuously enhancing service facilities and equipment, and improving service quality. The train’s body has been replaced with the 25G-type DC600V convenient car base, bidding farewell to the era of relying on boilers for winter heating, fans for cooling in the hot summer, and passengers using thermos flasks for drinking water. The train now provides a warmer, more comfortable, and convenient travel environment for the local residents.
