On November 8 at 6:19 am, the X9578 sea-rail intermodal train, loaded with 2998 tons of goods including Indonesian puff pastry, Vietnamese protective suits, and Singapore lubricating oil, departed from Qinzhougangdong Railway Station, heading to Chongqing Tuanjiecun Railway Station. In the first 10 months of this year, sea-rail intermodal trains on the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor transported a total of 713,000 TEUs of cargo, showing a year-on-year growth of 14.7%, maintaining a robust growth trend.

To strengthen market promotion and stabilize intermodal train transport, the railway authorities actively organized visits to ports and enterprises, vigorously promoted the advantages of sea-rail intermodal transport on the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor, continued to promote the “bulk-to-container” transportation model, provided freight rate policy support for enterprises, and implemented across-the-board freight rate reductions for 10 railway projects including Tuanjiecun Railway Station and Chengxiang Railway Station. In conjunction with enterprise needs, a weekly capacity guarantee plan was formulated to drive sustained growth in freight transport.

In order to improve transport efficiency, CR-Nanning delved into the capabilities of key railway lines, strengthened analytical management, and guided daily production organization through benchmarking. Analyzing each piece of capacity utilization and loading and unloading indicators on a daily basis to further tap into transportation efficiency. Through capacity expansion and transformation, the transportation capacity was continuously enhanced, and by the end of August, seven lines arriving at Tieshangang Railway Station and eight lines departing from the station were opened for operation, increasing the station’s storage capacity by 25%. By the end of September, the basic hardening transformation of Qinzhou Port’s freight yard was completed, laying the foundation for standardized management of the later-stage cargo yard area.
